I love teaching people how to use the laser cutter for the first time. The precision and speed of it make it a very magical experience for people, which I love being a part of.
I gave the interns a tutorial on it yesterday and they all stood in awe when it started cutting.
Today, I showed two of the members here how to use it, so that we could cut a new iteration of my programming jig. Before we even went upstairs to begin, one of the members (an extremely experienced programmer and electrical engineer) jumped up and down in excitement. I let them hit "Start" and they took pictures of the cut while muttering "woahh, lasers..."
To put it briefly, laser cutting is like Disney World.
