Today, I got some new toys to play with and maybe even integrate into the Doodle Band:
The Flora (on the left) is a platform for other Adafruit wearable electronic gadgets, which works like an Arduino but is much less bulky.
The Flora Bluefruit LE Module (on the right) is a piece that adds Bluetooth Low-Energy to a device.
I got these two boards as a possible alternative to the Spark Core, as they can be programmed straight from the Arduino IDE. Unfortunately, as I explored I realized that if I wanted two devices to communicate over Bluetooth they would have to be in proximity of each other, but I want to make bracelets that can communicate from long distances. It looks like I'll have to do some more work to learn how to use the Spark Core IDE so that I can do this over wi-fi instead.
